Our Story

The Next Chapter of San Diego Basketball

SD Legacy Basketball Club represents the next chapter of a program built through years of coaching, competition, relationships, and commitment to young athletes throughout San Diego.

Our program was formerly known as the San Diego Soldiers. Under that name, our coaches helped athletes develop their skills, compete in high-level events, build lasting relationships, and grow both on and off the court.

As our program continued to grow, we recognized that it was time for an identity that better represented our long-term vision.

In 2026, the San Diego Soldiers evolved into SD Legacy Basketball Club.

A New Name. The Same Commitment.

Although our name and branding have changed, the foundation of our program remains the same.

The same leadership.
The same dedicated coaches.
The same commitment to player development.
The same passion for San Diego basketball.

SD Legacy is not the beginning of a completely new program. It is the continuation of everything we have built, strengthened by a renewed vision for the future.

Why “Legacy”?

Legacy is about more than wins, rankings, and championships.

It is about the impact we leave on every athlete and family who becomes part of our program. It is about teaching players how to compete, lead, overcome adversity, support their teammates, and carry themselves with character.

Our goal is to help every athlete build a legacy that extends far beyond the basketball court.
